Broken Arrow Historical Society

BA1My husband and I visited the Broken Arrow Historical Society today for the first time since they opened in June. If you haven’t been yet, you need to visit. The Executive Director, Dr. Betty Gerber, did an excellent job of putting this museum together. The exhibits are well done, informative and extremely interesting.

Dr. Gerber is a wealth of information on the history of Broken Arrow and Oklahoma. There is also a large genealogy library on site. If you’re looking for information to help you do a story on Oklahoma history, don’t pass up this resource.

Dr. Gerber said she couldn’t have completed this project without help. Two of her helpers were there today, Nancy Kingery a volunteer Docent (left) and Annette Holder, who is the museum secretary (right).
